Dates: July 2 – August 27, 2025

Location: Loon Bay, Newfoundland

Pay: Minimum Wage | 35 hrs/week

Room & Board Included (During camp weeks only)

About the Role:

As a counselor at Loon Bay Camp, you’ll be at the heart of camp life, playing an essential role in guiding a small group of campers. You’ll lead fun and engaging activities, create a positive and safe environment, and help kids experience the magic of camp. From campfires and talent shows to sports, crafts, music, and more, you’ll help shape an unforgettable summer experience.

We’re Looking For:

✔️ Age 18+ (based on your age as of December 31, 2025)

✔️ Previous experience working with kids or in a camp setting

✔️ Standard First Aid/CPR certification (required before the start date, not needed to apply)

✔️ Strong communication and teamwork skills

✔️ Leadership, energy, and the ability to engage with campers

✔️ Ability to stay overnight Sunday–Thursday each week

Your Responsibilities:

🌲 Supervise your assigned group and cabin

🏀 Co-lead daily camp activities and events

🌅 Facilitate reflections, games, and big group moments

🧽 Assist with chores, prep, and cleanup

💬 Be a consistent, respectful leader and role model

📋 Report maintenance issues and follow camp policies

😴 Prioritize rest and wellbeing to stay sharp and safe

🚫 No leaving campgrounds without permission
